The top ten horrible Halloween costumes that aren’t Ray Rice

Nowadays if someone sees a bad Halloween costume, it’s going to end up on internet. Halloween is still a few days away and we’ve already found some really bad costume ideas on Twitter.

 10. The “Invisible Pedestrian”

When you’re a kid knocking on strangers’ doors at night asking for candy, naturally the first rule is “safety first.” This costume could not be less safe it was made out of broken glass.

9. Baby Butt

Tobacco marketing aimed at kids is just getting ridiculous.

8. Ferguson Protester

Watch out for rubber bullets.

7. Toilet

Seriously, have some self respect. Actually this one could lead to some awkward situations if fellow party goers have had too much to drink

6. “Prison Princess”

“Prison Princess” is probably also a euphemism for something we’d rather not discuss here.

5. Human Centipede

Just no. Seriously. No.

4. Ice Bucket Challenge

Why not just use a real ice bucket?

3. Hashtag

This one’s for the people who really want to dress up as a major Obama administration foreign policy initiative.

2. Sexy Ebola Containment Suits

No wonder the CDC needed to change those protocols.

1. Beyonce’s Silhouette

It looks Charles Clymer morphing into “Rodan.”

‘Umm…Huh?’: President says ‘ISIL is not Islamic’

Wait. What?

Early in the President’s speech he defined ISIL as “not Islamic.” What’s the first “I” stand for again?

At this moment, the greatest threats come from the Middle East and North Africa, where radical groups exploit grievances for their own gain. And one of those groups is ISIL – which calls itself the “Islamic State.”

Now let’s make two things clear: ISIL is not “Islamic.” No religion condones the killing of innocents, and the vast majority of ISIL’s victims have been Muslim. And ISIL is certainly not a state.

Okay, we might buy that they’re not a state, but not Islamic?

It’s amazing his voice echoed so much with his head buried so deeply in the sand.

‘Put him in jail!’ Marine deserter Wassef Ali Hassoun returns after decade on run

After allegedly faking his own kidnapping and bolting from the U.S. amid formal charges of desertion, U.S. Marine deserter Wassef Ali Hassoun has finally returned. It has been a decade since he went missing in Iraq.

On June 20, 2004, Hassoun bailed on guard duty at his base in Fallujah. He took his military-issued gun and his Muslim prayer rug. Military records obtained by the Salt Lake Tribune showed that he was “torn between military loyalty and his Muslim beliefs.”

According to the internal probe, he undermined intelligence-gathering operations by refusing to translate questions about Islam. He balked at raising his voice to suspected jihadi imams and sheiks. He openly threatened to “walk out the front gate and leave.”

The Muslim Marine told his colleagues he supported Hezbollah terrorist attacks on Israel. Members of his unit told investigators he was “anti-American” and listened to jihad sermons on propaganda CDs. Hassoun had received spiritual counseling from Navy Lt. Cmdr. Abuhena Saifulislam, a Muslim military chaplain tied to a radical Wahhabist outfit under federal investigation, according to Hoover Institution fellow and journalist Paul Sperry.

A bizarre video by Hassoun’s Islamist “kidnappers” showed him blindfolded with a sword above his head. But his fellow Marines suspected it was all staged and the “abduction” a collaborative fake. What did the purported hostage-takers want in return for the shady, disgruntled American serviceman? The release of jihadists in “U.S.-led occupation prisons.” Translation: Gitmo detainees. (Americans would never negotiate such a reckless trade, right? Oh, wait.)

In an even weirder twist, Hassoun somehow resurfaced at the U.S. embassy in Lebanon a few weeks after he walked away from his base. His family was rumored to have enlisted the aid of an Islamist group associated with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Hassoun denied desertion charges, came back to the U.S. for trial and then deserted a second time after failing to return to Camp Lejeune after visiting family in Utah.

May justice finally be served.

Maria Shriver wants you to guess who she was for Halloween in 2008 [photo]

Can you successfully pass the Maria Shriver challenge?

This was in October of 2008, and it’s a real toughie:

Shriver’s #TBT pic proved a lot has changed since 2008. Back then the liberal media was mocking the Palins, and now some are just fondly remembering the time they liked to mock the Palins. Others are still at it though.

Must-read tweets hammer the anti-hunting Left’s #WarOnWomen

For two weeks, anti-hunting screechers savaged 19-year-old big game hunter Kendall Jones with death wishes, threats and their weapon of choice — misogyny. When the media discovered that 17-year-old World Cup fan Axelle Despiegelaere had posted a hunting photo on Facebook, all hell broke loose. L’Oréal was quick to distance itself from the newly discovered model, announcing that her “one-time contract” was completed.

Earlier this month, PGA Tour golfer and Kendall Jones supporter John Peterson suggested, “If it was a 60 year old overweight dude posing with his African kills, no one would talk.” He’s not 60 or pudgy, but his hunting photo certainly didn’t spawn weeks of national headlines. The anti-hunting, gun-grabbing Left sure loves to target young women, huh?

Bingo. Hysterical womenfolk can’t be trusted to accurately identify a rape threat, so better that they arm themselves with nothing more than their own urine.

On Saturday morning, Brandon Morse continued calling out those who prefer their women defenseless, disarmed and dependent.

Report: Father of singer Mary J. Blige in critical condition after being stabbed in Battle Creek, Mich.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that a 63-year-old man stabbed this morning in Battle Creek, Michigan, is the father of R&B singer Mary J. Blige.

Thomas Blige’s ex-girlfriend has been arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder. More from the Enquirer:

[Det. Sgt. Jim] Martens said police have handled seven domestic violence complaints between Blige and his 50-year-old former girlfriend since August.

The woman was charged in October with aggravated domestic violence after she hit Blige in the head with a glass candlestick. She entered a no-contest plea to the charge and on Jan. 10 was placed on six months probation. She was ordered to have “non-assaultive” contact with Blige.

Blige remains in critical condition. We send our prayers to him and his family.

Does Don Sterling’s lifetime ban open ‘Pandora’s Box’ for gay marriage opponents in NBA?

Now that Donald Sterling has been banned from the NBA for life, some tweeters can’t help but wonder: Who’s next? Could anyone in the NBA who holds views deemed offensive — such as favoring traditional marriage — face similar consequences?

Owners like the Orlando Magic’s Richard DeVos, for example:

For the record, DeVos isn’t the only NBA team owner who opposes gay marriage.

Indeed. What about players?

Players caught making anti-gay remarks have been fined, but not banned. Could that change down the road?

LeBron James: Players don’t want any member of Sterling family owning Clippers

The NBA has banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life, and there has been talk that his estranged wife, Shelley, would keep her 50 percent share of the team.

According to Miami Heat star LeBron James, the players don’t want any member of Don Sterling’s family owning the team:

The AP quoted James, who spoke after a practice:

“As players, we want what’s right and we don’t feel like no one in his family should be able to own the team,” James said after the Miami Heat practiced for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against Brooklyn.

James’ statement sparked a lot of discussion:

Would that “rule” work the other way around:

Actor Ken Wahl: Instead of fundraising, Obama should visit corrupt Phoenix VA

President Obama’s on another fundraising spree. Just yesterday, he headlined a Dem fundraiser at the home of Disney Studios chair Alan Horn. But actor and ardent military supporter Ken Wahl believes Obama’s time and energy would be far better spent showing support for people who truly need and deserve it: our veterans.

A recent CNN report asserted that at least 40 veterans died waiting for treatment from the Phoenix VA Health Care system. Instead of droning on about “the problems of inequality,” President Obama should be speaking up for the heroes who served our country.

Indeed he should. But unless the Phoenix VA hosts a star-studded fundraiser, the vets aren’t likely to hear from him anytime soon.

Sad, but in Obama’s case, it’s true.

Shoppers gone wild: Fights at Walmart, Best Buy and malls [photos, video]

And … they’re off! Black Friday got off to an early start. Mix long lines, hangovers, holiday tension, discounted electronics, and what does that spell? Like Taylor Swift warbled: Trouble, trouble, trouble.

It’s not just at Walmart.

More people who didn’t take a chill pill with their pumpkin pie:

Oh, and as if the fire needed any more fuel, here come the union goons.

Good question:

Be careful out there.

Update: Sigh.
