25-Year-Old Rescue Dog Could Be The Oldest Pup In The World

If there’s one wish all pet owners share, it’s that our furry friends could live forever.

Although that’s obviously impossible, this dog’s humans should consider themselves lucky. They might share their home with the oldest dog on Earth!

Tara the rescue dog is 25 years old, and she’s owned by Burt Ward, the actor who played Robin in the 1960s Batman series. Ward is so passionate about animal rescue, in fact, that he and his wife care for 50 rescue pups!

If you want to learn more about Tara’s incredible life, check this out.

What a happy girl! It’s easy to see that she’s lived her long life to the fullest, and we wish her many more years to come.

If you’ll excuse me, I need to go track down some of that food for my dog.

These Honest Dog Shaming Photos Put Dog Shaming Photos To Shame

Dog shaming is a popular meme on the internet lately. The basic concept is that a dog shamer’s dog misbehaves, he/she adorns a sign on their beloved friend stating what the dog did, snaps a picture, and presumably Rover’s dog friends will see it and mock him at all the popular dog barbecues. Does it really work though? These honest dog shaming photos may have the answer.

Somehow I don’t think this weird form of medieval torture is getting through to our canine friends. If you love the pooches and are mystified that people actually do this, give this a share on Facebook!

This Woman Found 15 Abandoned Black Kittens In A Suitcase Outside Her Home.

When Southampton, England, resident Sarah Mills walked outside to take out the trash, she heard something that sounded like crying coming from an abandoned suitcase nearby. There were no identification tags, so she opened it to investigate the source of the sound and was shocked at what she discovered: 15 adorable black kittens.

Mills, who happens to run an animal shelter named All Animal Rescue, said she had never seen this many precious pets discarded and at such a young age. The kittens are about a month old and likely from two separate litters.

They were all covered with fleas and infected with worms.

They were also suffering from cat flu, which can be fatal in such young kittens.

The local RSPCA is investigating to find the culprit, but have few leads to go on.

Earlier this year, many charities reported the rise in black cats being abandoned ( maybe for their inability to show up in selfies?).

How could people be so cruel to such sweet faces??

Investigators hope the spread of this story can help the community find the person responsible for the terrible act.

Ten have been sheltered at RSPCA’s Stubbington Ark Rescue Centre.

The remaining five have been fostered.

(via Mirror.)

It’s remarkable that they were found by someone who could give them the care they desperately needed. It’s unbelievable that there are people in the world that are cruel enough to abuse such sweet and innocent creatures. Help your local shelters by locating them and giving a donation. Or, you can volunteer.

8 Simple Ways To Keep Your Pets Safe Over The Holidays

Holidays are a joyous time of year for us, but the sparkly decorations, delicious-smelling food, and noisy guests can be a sensory overload for our furry friends. Luckily, we’ve found eight tips to help keep your pets safe, healthy, and happy during the Christmas season.

Before I saw these tips, I had no idea how many dangers were lurking in plain sight during the holidays. Now, I’m making some changes to my household to ensure the safety of my pets. From securing the Christmas tree to providing a quiet place for them to rest and relax, pets can finally have the jolly holiday they deserve!

1. Secure The Christmas Tree

Pictures like these get a lot of laughs online, but failure to secure your tree can lead to pet injury and even death. Also, bacteria and fertilizers in stagnant tree water can cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you have a live tree, fashion a cover out of tinfoil or a sheet to discourage your pets from using it as a personal drinking dish.

2. Avoid Mistletoe And Holly

Instead of getting live mistletoe or holly this year, opt for artificial plants. Mistletoe is known to cause stomach and cardiovascular issues when ingested by pets, while holly results in vomiting and diarrhea.

French Bulldogs Can’t Contain Their Excitement When Dad Mentions The Dog Park

One dog owner by the name of Patrick has to be very careful that he doesn’t accidentally say “dog park” around his two adorable Frenchies.

Every time six-year-old Ganon and his two-year-old little brother, Loki, hear those words, they absolutely lose their minds with excitement. To demonstrate, Patrick decided to film them sitting calmly in the car before saying the two magic words.

Prepare to melt, people.

This story wouldn’t be complete without showing you what the pair does when they get to the park every day. (Spoiler alert: It’s adorable.)

It’s easy to tell that Patrick really loves these two little guys. And who could even blame him? Those faces are irresistible.

Her Students Gave Her Flowers, But When She Saw What Else They Had, She Lost It

As soon as these students learned that their teacher’s cat passed away, they sprang into action.

When the young ladies from Joshua High School found out that their math teacher, Mrs. Andrews, lost her best feline friend of 16 years, they pulled out all the stops to comfort the sweet woman in her time of need. They made her a batch of cupcakes, picked up some beautiful flowers, and surprised her right in the middle of class!

But they didn’t stop there. Wait until you see what else they did to make Mrs. Andrews smile (oh, and grab some tissues while you’re at it).

I may or may not be crying. Just saying. Young people get a bad rap, but these three students made it abundantly clear that kids these days still have so much heart.

The Homeless Puppy This Man Found In A Field Wanted Nothing More Than To Be Loved

If you have a dog, you know all too well how excited they get when you come home.

It really makes it all worth it when you watch the happy, goofy ways in which they show you how much they care. One man learned a thing or two about that, but the adorable pup begging to be loved wasn’t exactly his.

While he was enjoying his daily jog, he found a homeless puppy in a field that had probably been abandoned. But instead of being afraid of him, she welcomed him with open paws. Get ready for your heart to melt.

She is so sweet. I want her to be my buddy!

Luckily for this pooch, the man called an animal rescue and they were able to get her into a great home. If I ever found a dog like this, though, I’d probably take her for myself so I could do this all day every day.

Postman Goes Above And Beyond For A Sweet Dog That Loves Getting Mail

Many dogs enjoy torturing mail carriers by barking at them as they approach.

Some pups even go so far as to chase them down the street and right out of the neighborhood! But not this sweet dog from Brisbane, Australia.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DCBP_ATF’); });

Pippa loves nothing more than getting letters when local mailman Martin Studer stops by her house on his daily route. The adorable pooch comes running every time she sees him so that she can grab the mail and bring it back to her family.

Some days, however, there’s no mail for her to collect. Never one to disappoint, Studer came up with the best idea to make Pippa’s day whenever that happens.

He started writing Pippa her very own letters!

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DCBM_BTF’); });

“Got anything for my humans today?”

For me, you say? Thank you!”

Judging by the adorable look on her face, Pippa’s grateful for her favorite mailman. She’d probably make the best, most enthusiastic pen pal.

Finally, proof that mailmen and dogs can coexist!

25 Pets That Have No Idea How To Use Human Things. The Results Are Hilarious… LOL.

When you have a pet, it becomes part of your family. And when pets become part of the family, sometimes they forget they aren’t human. However, from time to time, pets are reminded of the fact that they are animals when they try to use our furniture. We designed chairs, sofas and tables for people with two legs, not four. So, when pets use our furniture, it can have a hilarious result.

This is how I do it, right?
