We’ve seen hundreds of videos involving surprise pregnancy announcements, but as adorable as those videos are, this one gives them all a run for their money.
YouTuber Jeff Deal and his wife had a very big surprise planned for his grandmother when they showed up at her house one day. Before they began, they told her to keep her eyes closed and sit down.
“It is with immeasurable joy that I introduce you to your great-grandson, Jordan Chase,” were the words Grandma heard as she opened her eyes and instantly started crying. The couple had been trying to adopt for nearly 20 years, so this was a very special moment for everyone involved.
These are the experiences that make life worth living. Don’t you feel like you’re right there in the room with them? There’s nothing quite as beautiful as the love of family.
One pilot decided to take unusual marriage proposals to new heights when he faked an in-flight emergency before asking his girlfriend to marry him.
With the help of a dash-mounted GoPro, the man captured the moment he told his girlfriend the flight controls had failed. Asking his (surprisingly calm) partner to read out a series of falsified emergency instructions, the pilot pulled out a ring as she made her way down the list. As she read on, the truth slowly started to dawn on her…watch her reaction below!
What a clever way to set up the proposal. “Conduct ring engagement procedure” sounds just technical enough that it could be a real aviation term.
Good thing she said yes, though. Would have been a really awkward flight back had she said no!
This video of an elderly couple dancing up a storm while on vacation reminds us all of what it means to be young at heart.
The adorable Texan couple named Burt and Carol were vacationing when they entered a restaurant in the Inverary Resort in Nova Scotia, Canada. When they walked in, they asked musician Keith Mullins if there was any way they could just order water. What they really wanted to do was dance.
A Florida woman recently filmed her close encounter with a black bear, and even though these creatures are usually pretty docile, the footage is still harrowing.
Teliece Sander of Seminole County, Florida, was sitting in her driveway and playing games on her phone when she looked up and realized that a massive bear was approaching. Having heard that you should keep calm at all costs in these situations, she didn’t panic and sat there quietly, taking a picture of the large beast, which she then sent to her son. To the attachment, she added the words “help me.”
You know what are the best? Videos of guilty dogs.
The pups in this video both look extremely guilty as their owner interrogates the two adorable suspects. The crime in question was a heinous one. Someone had the tenacity to ruin a perfectly good shoe.
While the two dogs, sitting side by side, both look like they might be responsible for the misdeed, the pit bull looks especially guilty. Starring sheepishly at the floor, the little guy does his best to avoid Dad’s gaze. He even went so far as to hide behind his brother’s back!
In the end, neither of these two cuties owned up to the crime. But personally, I think they were both in on it.
One man is taking on homelessness by tapping into the tiny-house craze that’s sweeping the nation right now.
It all started after Los Angeles resident Elvis Summers noticed a 60-year-old woman in his neighborhood sleeping in the dirt a few doors down from where he lived. Feeling like it was his duty as a fellow human to try and do something to help the poor woman, he decided to build a tiny home for her out of recycled materials.
It took Summers five days to build the home, which comes complete with a window and sturdy wheels to move it between different locations. These materials, including the wheels and two locks for the front door, cost him about $500.
His words say it all: “Nobody should be homeless, especially in one of the richest countries in the world.”
Feeling inspired by what he’d managed to do in such a short time, Summers founded My Tiny House Project LA. He’s already built over 30 tiny houses for homeless people across the city.
Many girls dream of their big day, deciding every little detail as soon as they learn what a wedding is. Elizabeth was one of those girls, having planned out the whole ceremony to perfection, which is exactly why she wasn’t expecting the pastor to suddenly stop the ceremony with a surprise announcement.
The bride and wedding guests were stunned when he announced that the groom, Alan Hale, had a special gift for his beautiful bride. Right before their first kiss ever, Alan had planned to serenade Elizabeth with a touching song he’d written especially for the love of his life.
What a beautiful song, one that this couple and their loved ones will remember for years to come!
Our Indian friends at Animal Aid Unlimited recently discovered a street dog that was in desperate need of help — and would’ve died without a rescue. The pup was suffering from a maggot-infested neck wound that was both threatening her life and making it miserable.
Without treatment she would have died in a day or two. Luckily they got to her in time and she’s been transformed into the most adorable, happy little dog now!
One of my favorite things in the world is when two animals who normally wouldn’t be friends become the best of buds. We’ve seen plenty of cases of dogs and cats doing just that, but it’s not often that you see giraffes and elephants becoming inseparable.
At David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust‘s orphanage in Kenya, a three-week-old elephant called Loboito has become completely attached to a baby giraffe named Kiko, so much so that he follows his much taller friend everywhere.
The magical friendship started after Kiko (a mere one-week-old at the time) was found abandoned in Meru National Park. After being brought to the orphanage, he was made to sleep with the baby elephants as he was much too small to sleep in the giraffe stable.
While their friendship may not last when the pair grows older and they start hanging around their own kin, it’s nice to know that these two orphans have someone to lean on for now. Although, poor Kiko might fall over if Loboito leans on him too much!
