An Observant Traffic Worker Saved This Street-Crossing Pooch’s Life

If you live in Arizona and use State Route 51 on your commute, you know how busy this road can be. As you can imagine, this area is no place for a little puppy to be wandering around, but one unlucky dog recently found herself on the crowded highway.

Someone at the Department of Transportation’s Traffic Control Center was monitoring the highway’s cameras when he spotted the pooch. That’s when he decided to take action.

No one knows where the dog came from, but she was seen attempting to cross State Route 51 In Pheonix.

Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) employee Gil Estrada was monitoring the cameras that day when he noticed the terrified dog. When he picked her up in his car, she was curled up on the median.

The dog was given to the Arizona Equine Rescue Organization (AERO), and they offered to help find her a home.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

So far, the owners of the pooch haven’t come forward, and AERO plans to put her up for adoption. They have named her ADOT in honor of the employee who saved her life.

He Shot A Gun At Himself Underwater, And The Reason Why Is Just Insane

Everyone knows that pointing a gun at yourself or someone else is never a good idea, but this guy seems to have made a hobby out of it. Instead of playing sports or creating art, he spends his time testing incredible theories. For this one, he got into a pool and stood directly in front of a submerged gun. After a few seconds, he pulled the trigger.

This is physics at its finest.

Thank goodness we didn’t actually just witness a man shooting himself. Water is essential to human life, and this is just a very literal interpretation of that fact.

WHOA: Sean Spicer parody’s Gianforte tweets bring out VIOLENT, unhinged Lefties

After Greg Gianforte WON in Montana last night, Sean Spicer’s parody account (@sean_spicier) took full advantage of how reactive and emotional the Left can be by tweeting about how Gianforte will fit in and Trump body slamming people.

This Man Set A World Record For Doing Something Alarmingly Awful. Ew.

When is the last time you did planks at the gym? How long did you hold it for? For those not familiar, planks are an exercise in working your core muscles. You start in the push-up position on your arms and hold it for 30 seconds to a minute.

Well, I guarantee you that Mao Weidong, a member of Beijing’s SWAT team, has your best plank time beat. He recently set the world record for longest plank ever.

Weidong held the plank position for 4 hours and 26 minutes.

The previous world record was 3 hours and 7 minutes. Weidong beat that time by an hour and 19 minutes.

Most people can only hold the plank position for 30 second to a minute.

Here he is, proudly displaying his world record certificate.

Bravo! That’s impressive. I can only imagine how much his abs hurt the next day. Maybe it’s time I renewed my gym membership…

Sandy Berger reported dead at age 70

Breaking news out of D.C. where we’re seeing reports that Sandy Berger, former National Security Adviser under President Bill Clinton, has passed away at age 70:

But let’s not forget that Berger did plead guilty in 2005 to removing classified documents (in his pants and socks) from the National Archives without authorization:

Berger had just been honored buy the World Food Program for his work “helping families in need” around the world:

R.I.P.

This Apartment Is Really Nice… But When You See What It Has, OMG. I Am Incredibly Jealous.

Most modern apartment design focuses on minimalism, fancy art, luxurious amenities and costing more than any living space ever should. Although the price is still probably outrageous, architect David Hotson found a way to mix in some whimsy into modern design. This is Skyhouse.

What makes Skyhouse unique isn’t its location or Feng Shui (although both are impressive). It’s the slide inside that pulls it all together.

Skyhouse was created in a NYC apartment space.

It is in a previously unoccupied penthouse.

The interior design is gorgeous.

It’s minimalistic…

But also filled with eye-popping color and art.

It’s an impressive house.

But mainly because of the slide.

Instead of taking stairs to get around this massive apartment, you take the slide.

The tunnel starts at the roof…

And it runs all the way to the ground floor.

This fun pad is located in the middle of NYC, in one of the earliest surviving skyscrapers.

Skyhouse’s design mixes fun in with modern ideas. There’s a rock wall, a swing…

The slide isn’t the only awesome part of this apartment.

Living in here would be a child’s dream.

It’s at the summit of the skyscraper.

Making this a rooftop playground.

Every day would be fun if you lived here.

(H/T Where Cool Things Happen)

The price of living in a space like this is probably obscene, so just let Skyhouse be an inspiration to you in your future building and design endeavors. “Fancy” shouldn’t mean “devoid of fun.” Even nice apartments can have a few pieces of playground equipment stuck inside… and they are still incredible. This apartment is to die for, share it with your friends!
