Leave it to Media Matters’ Eric Boehlert to weigh in on the VA scandal with one of his trademark Smart Takes™:
i'm guessing all the R pols insisting Shinseki be fired are the same ones who demanded Sebelius be fired….before 8M signed up for O'care?
— Eric Boehlert (@EricBoehlert) May 23, 2014
OK, so first of all, that “8 million” count is über-dubious at best:
@EricBoehlert Yeah, forget all those insignificant facts like how many lost coverage and and who actually paid premiums.

He's proud of 8 million allegedly signing up, under legal duress @EricBoehlert
— Aaron Worthing (@AaronWorthing) May 23, 2014
But what makes Boehlert’s tweet even more ridiculous is that he’s suggesting calls to fire Eric Shinseki stem from Republican outrage, rather than from the fact that a corrupt — and deadly — VA system has flourished under Shinseki’s “leadership.”

Forgive us, Eric, if we fail to see what’s so outrageous about demanding accountability from our government officials.

Oh, and Eric, for the record:
— Greg Pollowitz (@GPollowitz) May 23, 2014
@EricBoehlert How many vets need to die before YOU call for Shinseki to be fired, Eric?
— TocksNedlog (@gypsyluc) May 23, 2014
What’s wrong, Eric? Cat got your tongue?
