 angry

As Twitchy reported last week, cable news commentator and proud vandal Mona Eltahawy defaced a New York City subway ad sponsored by blogger Pamela Geller. Geller appeared Sunday on WABC-TV, where she debated liberal Rev. Jim Wallis over her anti-jihad message. She ably defended herself from criticism from both Wallis and from the host, but her logic didn’t seem to get through to the morally weak Wallis:

Wallis’ response to Geller? “Please stop talking.” To cowards like Wallis, free speech needs to take a back seat to feelings. While Geller made clear in the interview that she takes issue with radical Islam and jihad, and not with all of Islam, Wallis insisted that Geller’s views are far more harmful than those of radical Muslims. Moreover, Wallis suggested that Geller’s vocal defense of free speech will prove to be more harmful to Christians than radical Islam. Perhaps he should try making that case to the countless Coptic Christians who have been slaughtered at the hands of Islamist thugs.

How does Wallis propose that we combat the threat of Islamist terrorism? Why, with feel-good posters, of course!

#Evangelical #jim Wallis launches"#love Ur #muslim #neighbor #Subway Ad Campaign next week to counter lunatic Ad by #extremist Geller.

Mona Eltahawy hasn’t commented on the interview via Twitter, but it’s a safe bet that she agrees with Wallis that the best thing Geller can do is remain silent:

Dust off those party hats and pop that champagne! Because today is a very special day:

Oh yes. So very lucky.

And thanks to Richards’ commitment to “kicking ass,” millions of unborn children will never get the chance to have a birthday.

Joe Garcia calls Ted Cruz ‘un-American’ for pursuing border security

Remember when dissent was patriotic? Not anymore.

Via the Miami Herald:

Congressman Joe Garcia, a Miami Democrat, gave an impassioned speech on the U.S. House of Representatives floor Friday lambasting Republicans — and specifically Senator Ted Cruz of Texas — for failing to pass comprehensive immigration reform.

Garcia didn’t mention Cruz by name. But he railed against “a fellow Cuban American that sits in the other house” for “dictating to this house that we should strip away rights — strip away rights from children.”

“It’s un-American,” Garcia said, to applause inside the chambers.

Here’s the video:

As for who is the real traitor to American values, Garcia’s record speaks for itself.

Rep. Tom Cotton schools Democrats on Benghazi [video]

It didn’t take long for Rep. Tom Cotton (R-Ark), a U.S. Army veteran, to school his Democratic colleagues on the need for an investigation into the Benghazi terror attacks and the administration’s response (or lack thereof).

A full transcript of Cotton’s statement can be found on his website. Here’s a sample:

A couple lessons I learned in the Army were, you move to the sound of gunfire and the most important step in the troop-leading procedures is to supervise the execution of your orders.

When Americans were fighting for their lives in Benghazi, Barack Obama did neither — he sent no quick-reaction force and he didn’t even stay in the Situation Room to supervise the execution of his orders.

We expect more from lieutenants in the Army than our president gave us that night. For two years, he’s covered up this failure of leadership by stonewalling.

Forgive me if I don’t join my Democratic colleagues in sharing in their fake outrage. Four Americans lost their lives that night in Benghazi. They deserve justice and the American people deserve the truth.

One other lesson I learned in the Army is that we leave no man behind and we will not leave these four men behind.

MSNBC slams Romney with Obama’s ‘revenge’ remark; Matthews cries ‘racist’

Truth doesn’t matter to MSNBC, silly! That’s right, the hacks at MSNBC pulled a Reuters and carried heavy water for Obama by twisting around his revenge comment in an attempt to slam Romney for it. Look at the fallacious headline, tweeted out by MSNBC.

— Loren Heal (@lheal) November 5, 2012

Yep. You see, there is yet another new entry in the Handbook of Racial Code Words. Pointing out someone’s use of the word revenge? Totally racist.

More from the shameless lapdogs at MSNBC:

Mitt Romney’s campaign shifted gears Saturday to add a new eleventh hour attack line to the candidate’s closing argument, going after President Obama’s declaration on the stump Friday that “voting is the best revenge.”

The strategy appears designed to stoke enthusiasm among conservatives, by playing on existing far-right criticisms of Obama, including the notion that he harbors race-based resentment against America.

So pitiful that it would almost be hilarious. If, you know, it wasn’t so disgusting. If anyone is fueling race-based anything, it is the lapdogs in the media. Their bias is now media malpractice.

Twitter users rightly give MSNBC the business.

More on the totally delusional Matthews from Mediaite:

Wagner asked Matthews to weigh in on the theme of “revenge,” which PresidentBarack Obama inserted into the dialogue when he told a crowd that “voting is the best revenge.” Matthews admitted he did not know where the theme of “revenge” came from. When told by Wagner that Obama had invoked it first on the stump, Matthews criticized Mitt Romney for running with it. He said it was “of a piece” with the “dirty talk” and the “ethnic stuff” that he believes the Romney campaign has been stoking for some time.

After Wagner played a clip of Mitt Romney rehashing a line that president Obama said on the campaign trail — that “voting is the best revenge” — Matthews admitted that he was unaware how the “revenge” theme had come from.

Whatever! Pesky things like facts don’t matter. He doesn’t know who actually brought up the talk of revenge, but if Romney points it out? RAAAACIST.
